Product of the Year South Africa, the country’s most innovative consumer product awards are proud to announce the winners for 2023. Product of the Year is South Africa’s largest independent consumer-voted survey which focuses specifically on product innovation. On
Thursday, 24th August, the winners were hosted at an exciting event held at the glamorous @Sandton Hotel where they were applauded by their peers, media and vip guests.

There were winners announced in 21 categories. Product of the Year were very pleased that there were new categories added this year in the Renewable Energy and Make Up spaces Edith Venter Promotions who took over the management of Product of the Year South Africa
in 2020 and nurtured it through the difficult Covid years were pleased that entries are definitely on the rise and are looking forward to this continuing when entries for 2024 open later this year. This is also due to the continued relationship with Hirsch’s who were represented at the awards event and reinforced what this also means to them.

“Thanks to Margaret and the Hirsch’s Team for assisting in bringing on new brands and entries in the small electronics and electrical appliances for 2023. We value this relationship and the winners are excited to be able to use the logo for all their winning products for 2023” said Venter.

Established over 30 years ago in France, Product of the Year currently operates in over 40 countries with an effort to guide consumers to the best products in their market and reward manufacturers for quality and innovation. By using the logo for the year the winning products
in South Africa stand on the international stage.

“Globally we are seeing consistent engagement from market leaders as well as challenger brands. South Africa is an emerging market, and we are excited to see the continued growth of electrical appliances in the categories. we know the trading environment in South Africa is
still recovering as well as managing the load shedding issues that have to be dealt with.

However, this allows new products to enter and stand side by side with the more established ones. We are looking forward to this trend carrying through to the 2024 entries” says Mike Nolan, CEO of Product of the Year Management.
